How do I find carpool partners?

You can simply search according to the type of carpool you are looking for:
Car Pool- for commuters
School Pool- for the school run
Trip- for one off journeys

Do I have to carpool everyday?

No! You can carpool a few days a week or every day. You and your carpool partner(s) decide the schedule.

What if I always work late?

Join a morning only carpool and take public transport or a find carpool that suits later hours.

What if I have to drop off my child to day care or school?

Make the day care centre or school your carpool meeting place, or arrange a carpool with the other parents.

What if I have other things to do after work?

Schedule your errands and appointments on the days you don't carpool.

What if I don't like the people in the carpool?

Who you carpool with is your choice. We suggest you meet up with potential carpool buddies in a cafe or public place before committing to joining up.

Can I pull out if I carpooling doesn't work for me?

Yes. We recommend once you have a carpool together to agree on a trial period. This way everyone has an 'out' if it doesn't work.

I don't drive. Can I still join?

Certainly, simply find a carpool happy for you contribute to the costs.

How much will it cost me?

It depends. If you rotate the driving equally between everyone, money doesn't have to change hands at all. You simply pay the driving expenses when it's your turn. Its more a question of how much will it save me!

How much will I save?

It depends on how many people are in your carpool. If there are just two and you don't have to do much extra driving, you can expect to cut your travel expenses in half. If there are four, then you can expect to save around 70% of what you normally spend.

Do I have to be part of the carpool for the whole five days?

No. It's up to you how many days a week you participate. You decide how many days during the week you want to participate, providing it is agreed on by all!

How much does it cost to be part of a carpool?

Your carpool works out what the costs will be and how they will be fairly spread.
