The goal
Our goal: to save the world! A bit ambitious perhaps, but we like to think we’ve created something that’s making a big difference. Yes we are idealists, but we are pragmatic, and lets face it we all like cars. They’re fast, comfortable and convenient. With public transport being awful, its no wonder we turn to our four-wheeled friends.

The inspiration
Our inspiration to develop carpoolking.com.au came from traffic jams, which are mostly made by cars with no passengers. It made us depressed - until we decided to act. We thought if we could build a website where people looking to carpool could easily find like- minded (i.e. intelligent) folks, we’d be helping keep cars off the road and smog off the horizon.

The results
The site will be useful for helping save the environment as well as saving people money. We’ll also be using it to bring public awareness to things that we think matter. Like the Carbon Emission trading scheme, for starters. In a nutshell we want carpoolking.com.au to educate people, cut down on petrol bills, free up freeways and, yes, save the world. And we think it’s working.
